Punta Ballena is where the Corridor runs out of coastline and turns to rock. Casa Buenaventura sits at that edge, on a hundred feet of its own Sea of Cortez. You enter through a courtyard that gives nothing away; then the house opens and does not close again, terrace after terrace stepping down to a palapa at the tide. And from almost every room, the Arch sits quietly in the frame, the way other houses hang a painting.
Why It Made The List

A hundred feet of private ocean frontage inside Punta Ballena, the gated enclave that shares its coast with Esperanza.
